Jakarta — PT Tohoma Mandiri has once again recorded a significant achievement in the implementation of the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) in the Pejaringan area, North Jakarta. The jacking work started on February 18, 2026, and within 12 days on March 2, 2026, the team successfully completed the breakthrough from MH C-24.2/2.3 to SSP MH C- 24.2/2.2 with a total tunnel length of 108 meters.
This achievement marks an important milestone in the development of the underground network designed to strengthen sanitation infrastructure in northern Jakarta. The work was carried out using the pipe jacking/microtunneling method with a bore diameter of DN-600 mm, without causing significant disruption to surface activities, despite challenging soil conditions and dense underground utilities in the area —conditions commonly found in jacking pipe projects in Jakarta.
According to the field management team, the DN 600 mm jacking pipe installation progressed smoothly thanks to thorough technical planning and strong cross-functional team coordination. The breakthrough was officially achieved when the tunnel boring machine reached the designated receiving shaft in accordance with the project design, marking the completion of the 108-meter pipeline installation as targeted.
In this segment, a total of 90 pipes, each measuring 1.2 meters in length, were installed precisely, forming a continuous 108-meter underground pipeline in line with the technical design.
The development of this sewerage network is part of Jakarta’s effort to establish a more integrated sanitation system, supporting environmental improvement and better public services. This successful breakthrough demonstrates not only the technical capability of the project team but also their commitment to safety and project efficiency.
With this segment completed, PT Tohoma Mandiri will proceed to the next phase of work according to the contract schedule to support the overall completion of Jakarta’s sanitation program.
